Summary

In 1981, Israel declared Masafer Yatta in the occupied West Bank a military firing zone. After a 22-year legal battle, Israel's highest court ruled in 2022 that Palestinian families living there for generations could be forcibly expelled.

Palestinian activist Basel Adra grew up watching his father protest and get arrested for resisting displacement. For five years starting in 2019, Basel documented the destruction of his community—homes bulldozed, water and electricity cut, families sleeping in rubble. Made by a Palestinian-Israeli collective, the film uses cinema vérité to capture displacement as it unfolds.

A searing documentation of forced displacement and systematic erasure of Palestinian communities that most of the world never sees.
